Este verano tenía planes de ponerme al día con mis planes. Pero resulta que cierta persona tenía otros planes. He estado con ella casi dos meses completos y mis planes se hicieron aire. Pero bueno, no ha sido tiempo perdido. Le he enseñado a sentarse, a gatear y a pararse; a masticar y a tragar comida hecha por mis manos; a bailar y a cantar; a abrazar, a besar y a acariciar nuestros rostros; a decir bababababababa y yayayayayayayayayayay. Hasta nos ha aprendido a extrañar, a buscar y a darnos la bienvenida. ¿Qué más puedo añadir a eso, si ya tiene todo lo que necesita para vivir? ¡Y eso que fue sin planificar!

I had plans for this summer, big plans. But as it turned out, somebody else had other plans too. So, I've been with her almost two months now and I had taught her to sit, crawl and to stand up; to chew and swallow real food cooked by me; to sing and dance; to hug, kiss and caress our faces; to say babababababababa and yayayayayayayayayayay. She even learned to miss, to search and to welcome us. What else can I add to that? She already has everything she'll need to live fully. And it wasn't planned!
