¡Oh dios, no más odios! / She hates me not!

Ya no me odia. Al menos eso creo. Se ríe conmigo, me busca en las mañanas y hasta en alguna ocasión me prefirió sobre su madre. Sólo que ahora odia mi voz.

Le tengo que hablar con esa voz chillona que se usa cuando muchacho para burlarse de las nenas o para imitar a un homosexual. Si le hablo con mi voz natural es como si Patton tratara de pasar lista en kindergarden. Me mira asustada con el entrecejo fruncido y si no cambio la voz de inmediato se echa a llorar.

Una vez juré que ningún hijo mío usaría bobo (chupete). Sí, Pepe. También juré que nunca les hablaría con ese tono idiota de agúgu dáda chillón tan irritante. Bueno, todavía no le he dicho el agúgu dáda infame, pero les confieso que por una sonrisa de mi nena soy capaz de eso, y hasta de mucho más.

Pero por favor, no se lo digan todavía. Ya pronto, muy pronto, se enterará. Y entonces ya no importará lo que yo diga, o haya dicho. Pero al menos, tendré su sonrisa.

She doesn't hates me anymore. I think. She laugh with me, she looks for me in the morning and she even chose me over her mother once. Now she only hates my voice.

I have to talk to her in that annoying high pitch that kids use to make fun of girls and gays. If I use my normal voice is like Patton taking roster in a kindergarden. She looks at me really scare and she cries if I don't change my voice right away.

I once said no son of mine would use a pacifier. Yeah, right. I also said I'd never use that idiotic agugu dada tone of voice when talking to them. Well, I haven't agugu dada her yet, but I tell you, for a smile of hers I'll do that and even more.

Just don't tell her yet. She'll find out soon enough and then it won't matter what I say or what I have said. But at least I'll have her smile.
